HVDC C&P Engineer - Intern

We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.

• You will support to HVDC Control & Protection System conceptual design from software application design perspective.
• You will be detailed application development of HVDC Control & Protection System dedicated in one of the following areas: Automation and Digitization, Database and Server, Human Machine Interface, Station Control, Supervision and Monitoring,
• Operating System Localization, HVDC control and Protection.
• You will be involved in detailed software function implementation with specific software design tools.
• You will be involved in conceptual design & software design documentation both for internal and external purposes.
• You will be involved in technical support to the hardware-in-the-loop tests of HVDC Control & Protection System (both in the company and the customer facility) from software perspective.
• You will be involved in site installation support, commissioning, sub-system test and system test of HVDC Control & Protection System.
• You will be involved in technical support to Marketing and Sales from software design perspective, especially the support to the tenders.
• You will be involved in technical support to Customer Service from software design perspective including customer meetings, on-site fault analysis, customer trainings and maintenance outages, etc.

• Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, and Automation, or a degree deemed to be equivalent, with basic knowledge.
• Familiar in actual coding for DSP, FPGA, DRTOS (INTime, for example), Windows, Linux or Unix.
• Familiar in PSCAD, Matlab, or any other simulation software available for electric power system and control system.
• Familiar in RTDS, Hypersim, or any other electric power system simulators.
• Knowledge and/or experiences in HVDC control and protection will be considered as a plus.
• Knowledge and/or experiences in at least of one of the following areas: Coding: C, C++, Software engineering: Frontend, backend.
• Experience in communication protocol: IEC61850, OPC-UA, IEC60044-8, FT3, HTML, Web Database: SQL database.
• Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English .
• Acceptance of engineering travels are preferred.
