How you'll make an impact:
- You will ensure the portfolio of contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. You will review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions & develop contract strategy for the HUB based on Hitachi Energy's policies, customer requirements, and the overall execution strategy taking into account risk, pricing, scope, and schedule.
- You will identify the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlights areas of potential risk, ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (i.e. payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.), attend Risk Review for the HUB and is accountable to fulfill contracts Golden rules and to meet highest contractual standards.
- You will verify that both parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding, assess success of the contract and determines if there are any lessons learned for future contracting, documents and communicate to all appropriate parties any deficiencies found as part of the closeout process.
- You will analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts, as work proceeds, seek advice from Legal to draft, negotiate and finalize agreements during the Sales and Project Execution phases., develop and implement risk mitigation and opportunity plan in concert with Project Manager and/or Sales Manager or FES Management.
- You will be performing the overall analysis of incoming claims (Customers, Suppliers/Subcontractors and Consortium Partners), development of defense strategies, preparing response/correspondences, counterclaims, and related project claims strategies for the HUB.
- You will analyze legal issues requested by local business units and local group functions and provide general contractual advice and support, deliver contractual training; and be able to deal directly with internal clients and external parties & ensure that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HUB.

Your background:
- You hold a degree in Law or equivalent.
- As a Contract Managers or legal advisor with Site Contract Management experience of more than 10 years will be preferred.
- Extensive experience in Contract Management functions and processes in project execution of EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants. Experience in working within internationally staffed teams and with international contractual partners.
- Solid experience change management, claim management and contract-related legal issues and the possible effects in the relevant areas of responsibility regarding proposal stage and/or project execution.
- Behavior and dealing with foreign cultures (Ethical Conduct) living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. A person who will be able to work in systematic and structured work way.
- Ability to negotiate in Chinese and English language. Any other language an advantage.
