HSE Specialist
The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is a global leader in providing innovative energy solutions that contribute to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an HSE Specialist. The role will provide HSE advice and support to a portfolio of projects in the UK and further develop the positive HSE culture through engagement and auditing across a number of construction sites, which will involve UK-wide travel. You will be from a construction background.

How you'll make an impact
- Provide cost effective specialist HSE support and advice to tendering and project delivery teams throughout the project life cycle
- Support the development of processes consistent with Legislation, Group and ESI / Construction Industry best practice
- Provide internal service for audit and inspection of projects and departmental processes to monitor performance & identify areas for improvement
- Support HSE performance improvement strategies and campaigns linked to key business objectives & targets for implementation internally & through supply chain partners
- Produce monthly HSE KPIs and management information for review and action by the Management Team

Your background
- HSE professional with project/construction experience
- Qualified to NEBOSH Construction level in HSE Management
- Conversant with relevant ISO standards
- Computer literate & proficient IT skills
- Experienced in the operation & management of business management systems
