Global Product Owner: Project Opportunity to Close (f/m/d)

The opportunity

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the end-to-end (E2E) process harmonization and standardization within our centrally developed SAP Product. In this global role, you will collaborate closely with Business Unit Leads (BLs), Archetype Leaders (ALs), and other stakeholders to drive alignment and maximize the use of standard SAP functionalities. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our ERP landscape by embedding best practices and facilitating key design decisions across business units.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate closely with and support the BL, AL, and their Global SMEs to review and contribute and in the specific process areas identified during triage of change requests or projects, development of the business specification and testing.
  • Understand and translate the business requirements into harmonized E2E process.
  • Make process recommendations and provide expertise and advice BLs, ALs and Global SMEs.
  • Understand and assess when harmonization/standardization is not possible utilizing the appropriate technical or managerial boards in accordance with the governance model.
  • Participate on the Template Control Board (TCB) as required to present decisions required of BLs, ALs, Function Leads.
  • Ensure resolution of conflicts across Business Units and Archetypes with support of the SAP CoE Leadership Team
  • Enforce the adherence to committed guiding principles of the program, especially around fit to standard approach.
  • Embed Hitachi Energy best practices where relevant in the design and standards.
  • Manage E2E team with HE Solution Architects, Partner Development Team.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a global ERP implementation context.
  • Deep understanding of a specific Hitachi Energy business process and cross-functional business practices.
  • Strong decision-making and issue-resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience representing business interests in IT projects.
  • Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
