The opportunity
To build and grow the GIS Troubleshooting Specialist is responsible for overseeing all activities required to install, repair, and eliminate faults in GIS (Gas-Insulated Switchgear) systems. This role represents Hitachi Energy's interests globally, ensuring technical excellence, project deadlines, and quality assurance standards are upheld. The Specialist acts as Hitachi Energy's technical ambassador at installation sites, maintaining client satisfaction while adhering to project schedules and cost-efficiency targets.
How you'll make an impact
- You will ensure all entrusted installation and maintenance work is carried out with perfect technical quality.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting independently and will ensure strict compliance with installation requirements, work instructions, and accident prevention measures, especially when working on live system components.
- You will red-mark drawings/documents with any necessary changes or modifications during installation and advise and coordinate with sub-suppliers' installation superintendents to align workforce planning with project schedules.
- Collaborate with the Hitachi Energy Project Manager to track completed and pending works are responsible for managing the case from A- to Z and that is included with managing internal parity as well the customer and will issue non-conformance reports for missing or damaged equipment within Hitachi Energy's scope of supply, supervise final installation tests and manage.
- Hitachi Energy installation completion documentation and supervise and coordinate loop check activities and participate in site meetings as requested by the Project Manager and will be competent in execution of all assigned tasks.

Your background
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years' experience with GIS systems.
- Hands-on experience with SF6 gas handling.
- Familiarity with Hitachi Energy GIS products
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
