Fatory Test Room Technician - Power Transformer
The opportunity
Responsible for performing hands-on testing and inspections of power transformers to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards. Set up test circuits, operate equipment, and accurately verify results while maintaining tools and workspaces. Support the execution of rigorous testing processes under the supervision of Test Room Engineers, contributing to the organization's commitment to quality and safety. Conducts system/product/component testing and inspections. Supports quality control measures to ensures compliance with established standards and procedures. Acts with safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity to assure that the products and systems meet stated requirements and customer expectations.
How you'll make an impact
- Follow company health and safety regulations in all testing activities. Ensure compliance with ISO and industry regulations during testing operations.
- Execute assigned tests. Set up and operate test equipment and measuring devices under the supervision of Test Room Engineers or Test Room Manager. Perform routine, special, and design tests as assigned. Conduct more complex tests with guidance from senior staff.
- Verify test results are accurate and maintain logs. Report test results and any anomalies to senior engineers or managers. Report equipment malfunctions to the Test Room Engineer or Test Room Manager.
- Assist in preparing test reports. Support identification of root causes by assisting in failure analyses. Collaborate with team members on implementation of corrective actions for product issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on processes. Assist in the training of new or less experienced employees. Ensure tidiness and support the 5S program in the Test Room.
- Safety Promotes safety as the foremost consideration in executing product and component testing activities. Follows strictly safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices for protection of individuals during testing.
- Works closely with the HSE team and under the supervision of product quality testing professionals check safety of the operations regularly, secures the surrounding and informs the stakeholders when any safety risk is identified.
- Quality Management System Carries out a range of quality management activities under the guidance of the senior colleagues. Contributes to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the established Quality Management System.
- Assists in development and maintenance of procedures. work instructions, and quality documentation. Test Capability Conducts the test protocols attentively as assigned to ensure the systems/products/components meet specified requirements and customer expectations.
- Assists in equipment handling tasks during commissioning, calibration and maintenance of equipment and instruments to ensure effective operations. Failure Analysis Performs failure analysis and measurements by following established procedures and protocols, when needed.
- Prepares samples and specimens for analysis and adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during failure analysis activities. Documents and records observations, test results, and other relevant data accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Minimum of 2 years electrical education at a technical college or an equivalent institution. Diploma Electrical Engineer.
- Previous experience in a test manufacturing facility in power transformer factory
- Understanding of testing protocols and industry standards, including ISO and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in operating and setting up electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify test results.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
