Are you ready to lead with purpose and make a real impact? At Hitachi Energy, we are looking for a Factory Test Room Manager to join our inclusive and forward-thinking team in Vaasa. In this key role within our Business Unit Transformers, you will oversee all Factory Test Room activities - ensuring our energy solutions meet the highest performance and safety standards.
You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, helping to plan and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests for our transformer products. This is a chance to shape future testing processes in a supportive and collaborative environment while contributing to Hitachi Energy's mission of delivering smarter, more sustainable solutions.

How you'll make an impact
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring all testing operations meet company and national safety standards.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safety-first environment for your team, supporting both personal and professional well-being.
- Work closely with customers and project managers to define testing requirements and coordinate efficient test setups.
- Support your team in navigating complex test procedures, ensuring our products meet international specifications.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts - introducing new ideas, supporting innovation, and optimizing testing processes.
- Establish and track performance metrics (KPIs) to maintain reliability and drive excellence.
- Inspire and empower a diverse team - mentoring individuals, encouraging collaboration, and supporting career development.
Your background
- A degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A people-first leadership approach - motivating, guiding, and empowering teams to grow and succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A solution-oriented mindset and confidence in using data to make informed decisions.
- Fluency in Finnish and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
