The opportunity
Working within the Europe Integrity team, you will manage and support all Integrity matters within the organization in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine, Balkan Countries and Baltic Countries as Ethics Compliance Senior Specialist - NORTH-EAST cluster and support the Region Head of Integrity Europe with managing Global and European Integrity projects in the region of your responsibility. You will be reporting to the Region Head of Integrity Europe.
How you will make an impact:
- Implement and drive the Hitachi Energy Group Integrity Program locally and develop, review, and support additional local integrity programs under the direction of the Head of Integrity Europe.
- Support Country management and Local Business Units in all integrity matters, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy values, the Group Code of Ethics & Business Conduct, applicable Group policies and instructions and with all relevant external laws and regulations.
- Communicate timely updates and implement new or revised Integrity related Group policies and instructions to Local Business Units and employees.
- Assist in negotiating frame agreements, contracts, partnerships, and other contractual terms from an integrity perspective.
- Approve and maintain records in various applications in line with relevant Integrity related Group policies and instructions (Conflict of Interest /Gifts, Entertainment, Expenses, Donations and Sponsorship / Anti-Bribery).
- Provide and support face-to-face and online integrity trainings, workshops, and meetings, and develop an annual training plan for the business.
- Under the direction of the Hitachi Energy Office of Special Investigation (OSI), working solely or in a coordinated effort with other Special Investigations Officers; the Legal & Integrity Function and/or HR in delivering a wide range of investigations. This includes data collection & data review/ (forensic) analysis; interviews of Whistleblowers, witnesses, victims and subjects; report writing, and other duties as deemed appropriate.
- Participating in the Country Disciplinary Committees for determining disciplinary actions and/or lessons learned, deriving from the investigations in your cluster.
- Provide support to the Region Head of Integrity - Europe on managing global and European integrity projects.
- Provide general and deputy support to the Region Head of Integrity - Europe in integrity matters.
Your background:
- Degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years' experience as a compliance/integrity professional, ideally gained in an international background with focus on the industrial business.
- Experience managing significant components of a compliance or audit program for an international organization.
- Hands-on compliance professional with energy and engagement in day-to-day work.
- In-depth understanding of anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance programs, including the FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and global anti-corruption laws.
- Familiarity with global compliance practices in industrial businesses, such as antitrust and data privacy.
- Experience in conducting or supporting in conducting internal investigations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively in a diverse global organization and on all levels of an organization.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player with cultural awareness and curiosity, willing to collaborate with other functions and members of the global Integrity team.
- Absolute integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to communicate the importance of these values and influence on all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to explore new compliance management tools and technologies, including leveraging data analytics to enhance compliance effectiveness.
- Knowledge of Polish Labor & Criminal Law
- Polish language is a must.
