- The person shall be responsible for tracking and reporting the company sustainability indices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices, driving interventions in the areas of ESG reporting, BRSR requirements, supporting supply-chain management, and fostering a culture of sustainability within stakeholders and providing support to the HUB HSE and Sustainability Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sustainability initiatives and EHS programs across all manufacturing facilities.
- Provide operational guidance on SF6, waste, water, hazardous substance and pollution prevention management system standards and programs in accordance with ISO14001 / 50001.
- Risk-evaluate processes involving chemical usage, determining risk severity and making recommendations for risk mitigation. Support environmental incident investigations in the HUB.
- Track, review and report on sustainability indices as per organization guidelines. Coordinate reporting of data by factories across the region for various ESG rating agencies, BRSR reporting, etc. Drive Hitachi Energy's environmental reporting process within the HUB including quality control of data. Analyze and interpret data related to sustainability performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Communicate and promote company/HUB sustainability agenda, progress, and initiatives with factories, departments, and external stakeholders.
- Track regulatory developments in the areas of Sustainability and prepare suitable plan to ensure compliance. Work closely with the sustainability team, factories, and departments to ensure alignment and progress towards sustainability goals including Health and &Safety.
- Working knowledge regarding regulations, principles, practices, procedures, etc. pertaining to energy, waste, water and chemical management / pollution prevention in industry (e.g., GRI, ISO 26000, ESG reporting, BRSR framework, climate change).
- Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability performance Impart environment & sustainability training to employees and promote a sustainable work environment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
- Project Management: Basic project management skills, with the ability to support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives. Hands on experience in operating EHS and ESG software / tool.

Your Background
- B.Tech./B.E. - Environmental Engineering or M.Sc. - Environmental Science with relevant qualification in sustainability and climate change.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in driving or leading environment/sustainability management in a manufacturing organization or large environmental consulting firms.
- Fundamental knowledge of Environment, OHS and energy management systems - ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
- Advance/Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial safety will be added advantage.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required .
