You'll be supported by our broad team of experienced energy market advisors, software solution experts and Project Managers. You will be equipped with ongoing training to build on your proven expertise in the power utility/energy sector. You will be proactive and have a genuine thirst for knowledge - continuously staying ahead of market changes, absorbing all the relevant facts, and liaising with our customers in close consultation. You will create compelling customer proposals for our tailored software and energy market advisory services, gaining an in-depth understanding of customer needs and objectives. You will work in close collaboration with both internal and external parties to support and achieve end goals, providing true value to the Hitachi Energy client base.

By joining the Market Advisory team, you'll become an integral part of a team of regional and subject matter experts who create Hitachi Energy's Power Reference Case Reports (i.e. country-specific energy market outlook reports) and leverage our proprietary energy market modelling solutions. The role involves developing Hitachi Energy's industry-leading market outlooks through expert modelling and forecasting, integrating current market trends, key drivers, and other factors influencing electricity market price dynamics. Additionally, you will deliver bespoke advisory work for clients.

The role:
- Provide knowledge and expertise to customers in energy market modelling.
- Research electricity and fuel markets, technology trends, and policy & regulatory developments.
- Contribute to the development of Hitachi Energy's Power Reference Case (long-term electricity market price forecast reports).
- Prepare model inputs, assumptions, and results.
- Manage bespoke advisory projects for clients.
- Present analysis insights with clients in written and verbal communications.
- Contribute to Hitachi Energy's product development by identifying new opportunities and expanding product coverage.
- Contribute to product sales and marketing, including developing webcasts and thought leadership content.
Your background:
- Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related STEM field with a quantitative focus.
- Prior energy sector experience with knowledge of the energy industry, renewables, or market modelling.
- Strong problem-solving skills to adapt analysis to the dynamic energy sector.
- The ability to develop methodologies and create innovative solutions.
- A systematic, quality-conscious, and proactive approach and efficient time management.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in quantitative analysis.
- Strong team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with additional programming software for data analysis is a plus (e.g., Python, SQL, Power Query).
- Effective communication skills; fluent in both spoken and written English. Fluency in other European languages(s) is beneficial.
