Design Engineer

The opportunity:

Support Engineering activities under the supervision of senior engineer in all types of projects sizes and complexities & in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Based on technical
specification from end customers and inputs from OU Engineering team, prepare substation layouts and sections, all Primary Drawings, prepare Substation layouts and section drawings, Grounding system drawings, Lightning system
design, drawings, Cable routings, preparation of Bill of materials.

How you'll make an impact:

• Preparation of Substation layouts and section drawings preparation for budgetary offers / tenders / projects based on customer specification.
• Preparation of Earthing layouts, Lightning Protection drawings, cable routing drawings, Erection Key diagram, Control building layouts, Illumination drawings.
• Prepare Bill of material of Primary related quantities for tenders or projects based on requirement
• Support the senior engineer with the inputs for all design calculations related to Primary & CAD Engineering
• Expertise in all AIS & GIS in design & drawings
• Basic understanding of all primary calculations, viz., Grounding system design, Lightning system design, Lighting system design
• Preparation of Protection SLD showing principles, relays and meters
• Understanding of Technical data sheets of primary equipment. Basic Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc
• Follow the QMS process and adherence to the same
• Responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective tenders and projects as per quality process

• Should have 5-10 years exp
• Should be bachelors Engineering /Diploma in Electrical
• Full Proficiency in required CAD design tools (BIM Tools, BIM 360, Navisworks, Microstation / AutoCAD, AutoCAD REVIT, 3D competence) and very good 3D-Designing skills
• Very good knowledge about technical parameters and data of the different models inside his specific discipline
• Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC,etc
• Knowledge in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical)
• Team Player using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects / challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.
• Excellent English speaker, good communication skills
• Dynamic and Proactive, willing to grow in the organization
• Team player, ready to play the role across the different countries
• High level of ownership
