Controlling and Planning Analyst

Currently we are looking for a suitable candidate to fulfil the role of a local Function Cost Controller in Krakow. The position is open to young controlling professionals, who have hands on experience in business or function controlling with very good knowledge of Finance and Accounting concepts. Someone with a good combination of operational knowledge and problem-solving skills will thrive in this role. Main responsibilities and expectations
Function cost controlling for global functions covering:

• Planning - managing the budgeting and forecasting process for function cost.
• Reporting - managing the monthly reporting process of function cost.
• Analytics - Variance analysis of actual vs. budget and regular forecasting/estimation of function cost.
• Identifying and proposing corrective actions in case of negative variance.
• Close coordination with controlling front offices on closing related topics to drive correct reporting of the function cost.
• Maintaining and communicating reporting instructions related to the function. Communicate with and train local controllers regarding the function cost controlling aspects.
• Assist in monthly review of function cost status by the management.
• Regular and close interactions with all budget owners, keeping them up to date on budget utilization, proactive planning of forecast with them, and collaborating on actions on keeping costs under budget.
• Be aware and knowledgeable of the latest accounting and reporting instructions and guidelines.
• Maintain an active network within the controlling community.
• Support the culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Graduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 3+ years of experience in Controlling.
• Good knowledge of Accounting and Reporting requirements and in the use of the global reporting tools.
• A self-motivated team player with eagerness to learn and able to lead and initiate.
• Independent, cooperative, and communicative style of work.
