As a Substation Automation Tender Specialist, you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe team, serving the Southern Europe region. We are looking to strengthen our team with an experienced professional based in one of our offices in Paço de Arcos, Madrid, Milan, Rome, or Zagreb.
In this role, you will lead the tendering process from initial request to contract signing and hand over to operations. Your responsibilities include preparing bids, estimates, and quotations aligned with customer specifications, ensuring high-quality, competitive, and profitable proposals.

You will operate within the substation automation market, managing a variety of tenders-from turnkey projects to products and services-across Southern Europe.
How you'll make an impact:
- Creation of commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers, based on the specifications of our customers.
- Definition of the scope of supply to be offered with close collaboration with operations.
- Close cooperation with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
- Cost calculation estimations and determination of the costs, margins and sales price in cooperation with sales.
- Tender planning and on time tender submittals.
- Technical support to sales during and during early pursuit stages as well as supporting contract negotiation.
- Preparation of tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.
Your Background
- Higher education (e.g. Bachelor or Master's degree) in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control and protection solutions.
- Good knowledge of the grid automation market.
- Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes would be an advantage.
- Good command of English is mandatory, while Spanish, French, Italian, Croatian or other Balkan languages would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 20%
