Continuous Improvement Leader

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Composites in Piteå is a global leader in composite insulators for high-voltage products. For over 50 years, we have produced and delivered insulation components to both internal factories and external customers. Due to increased demand and new challenging internal projects, we are now expanding our team.

We are now seeking a continuous improvement leader. In this role you will be able to make a great impact on the future growth and success of our factory. You will be a change agent in driving sustainable and transformational change across the whole factory value chain focusing on our operating system ITM (Integrated Transformer Management System) where you will combine technical and operational business knowledge and apply methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to deliver data driven operational improvements. You will be reporting directly to the factory manager.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategy, set objectives, action plans, KPIs, and Kaizen funnels.
  • Act as a change agent, implement ITM lean methods (e.g., 6S, Daily Management, Kaizen), and advance ITM maturity.
  • Focus on improving KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Cost.
  • Develop and manage cost-out and productivity projects, leading impactful improvements.
  • Build a continuous improvement culture, train and coach others, and combine technical knowledge with people skills.

Your background

  • Experience of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Lean Six Sigma black belt certification level, 8D, A3, 5W or similar tools and methodologies
  • You hold a university degree or have work experience from a similar area
  • Proven experience from continuous improvement roles or equivalent
  • You enjoy working with variety of detail- and high-level oriented tasks and can work independently as well as in a team
  • As person you have good listening and coaching skills to build trust with your team and different stakeholders
  • Fluent in both English and Swedish, written and spoken.
