The opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Design Architect to join one of our sub-systems within the MACH Design Organization (DO). This role is central to ensuring the technical integrity and seamless integration of new features across our embedded control systems for high-performance power electronics platforms.

As a Design Architect, you will work closely with Solution and System Architects and design teams to translate high-level requirements into actionable design specifications, guide technical quality, and oversee design life-cycles activities. You'll be part of a global team driving innovation and excellence in Grid Integration MACH, delivering designs for a wide range of applications for HVDC and Grid Power Quality Solutions & Services.

How you'll make an impact

  • Break down sub-system level requirements into product/design specifications for the assigned sub-system.
  • Ensure the technical quality of designs by providing guidance on design rules and processes.
  • Oversee the integration of new features and functionalities at the sub-system level.
  • Act as a liaison between system architects and the design organization to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Manage the product care and maintenance backlog for the design organization, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.

Your background

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or a related field, with experience in embedded systems, FPGA, software, or hardware designs
  • Proven experience with MACH, understanding of MACH designs within assigned sub-system
  • Proven experience with Model Based System Engineering for industrial applications
  • Strong understanding of requirement decomposition and design rule enforcement
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and organizational boundaries
  • Have worked with Lifecycle Maintenance subjects and obsolescence of components
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
