Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you'll make an impact
- You will perform research and development for next generation technology in power electronics, such as topology analysis, modeling and control, and power electronics application in the power system.
- You will conduct design and development: Lead the design and development of solid-state transformers, ensuring they meet performance specifications and industry standards.
- You will stay updated with the latest advancements in transformer technology and incorporate innovative solutions into designs.
- You will do analysis and selection of all power converter components to optimize cost, reliability, and performance.
- You will be part of global electronics team to develop cutting edge power electronics and power system technologies.

Your background
- You hold PhD (or master's degree 3+ years research experience) majoring in electronics, power system automation, or other related areas.
- Solid theoretical background with publication in renowned transactions / journals.
- Proficient in computation and simulation tools, such as Matlab, Simulink, PSCAD, PLECS, among others, to effectively analyze and design power electronic systems.
- Self-motivated, high curiosity and ability to learn new technologies
- Good programming skills.
- Fluent English in both written and spoken.
