Business HSE Specialist

You as a Business HSE Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will be acting as a Site HSE Specialist within the HSE function for HVDC project sites and being leader as a Site HSE Specialist within the HSE function for HVDC project sites.

Your responsibilities

• Driving and promoting HSE positive behaviors and supporting the HVDC HSE operations, HSE awareness and HSE understanding within HVDC and site teams in HSE related matters and the implementation of HSE programs and focus initiatives.
• Driving behavioral change through implementing group-wide performance improvement programs and practices locally to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization.
• Engaging internal customers to raise awareness on all HSE across all functions and responsible for HSE reporting, analysis of hazards, incidents & other HSE KPI's for global HVDC project sites.
• Supporting the project HSE managers & site HSE team with the issues related to HSE and participating in routine and non-routine HSE audits.
• Coordinating and promoting the effective closure of various HSE origin and related corrective and preventive actions and engaging in incident investigation processes ensuring that causal factors identified have sound and sustainable actions tracked to closure.
• Establishing good exchange and collaboration with site HSE team and assist in HSE reporting.
• Sharing lessons learned as well as best practices to all project sites.
• Driving and ensuring compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).
• Supporting and co-developing for continuous improvement on HSE reporting and KPI methodology and analysis.
• Promoting awareness and training of ISO Management System Standards as they apply to HSE Operations and Governance activity.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in relevant is required with post-graduation or diploma in HSE from approved institute.
• Minimum 7+ year of experience required with hands on HSE experience in any electrical commissioning projects or power plants or sub stations or construction sites.
• Knowledge on MS Office, Intelex, IMS is added advantage.
• Experience in the Middle east is required.
• Teamwork, analytical, communication & presentation skills are the key required skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
