Business Analyst

The opportunity:

The primary goal of the position is to close the gap between technological solutions and business requirements, making sure that the software efficiently supports risk management plans and energy trading operations. Understanding front-, middle-, and back-office operations' business processes as well as translating intricate trading and risk concepts into precise technological specifications are typical responsibilities

How you'll make an impact:

• You will assist in analyzing, coordinating, and finalizing the business requirements of the functionality/module/project owned, support senior analysts in modeling complex trading workflows and business rules.
• You will collaborate with Product Management to understand and translate business needs into functional specifications, assist BA team, Tech team and Project Management team in planning and prioritizing enhancement, development and release of the concern module.
• You will help analyze outputs from calculation engines and ensure alignment with expected business logic, contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) by assisting in preparation for test cases.
• You will maintain documentation by assisting in preparing user manuals, video tutorials of built features to technical writing team and collaborate with Dev and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of features and fixes.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold a minimum bachelor's degree in business administration and information system.
• More than 2 years of professional experience as business analytics.
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience on energy or commodity trading environments, ETRM Software platforms. Experience in the physical and financial trading environment is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of Energy Markets (e.g Gas, Power, Crude Oil, refined products), Trade lifecycle and risk management concepts.
• Familiar with Software development lifecycle, Tools like JIRA, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and programming languages (SQL, .NET, Python). Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams, high adaptability and willingness to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong problem solving and issue resolution skills.
