Application Engineer - Statcom

Your responsibilities:

• You will assist Application Engineer to provide Statcom solution.
• You will be responsible for STATCOM LP/MP system configuration, SLD and layout design.
• You will be responsible for STATCOM LP/MP system design, equipment design and sizing, performance guarantee.
• You will perform design studies for SVC/STATCOM systems (Flicker, MVar Sizing, Harmonic filter design and performance analysis).
• You will perform equipment sizing and rating calculations for SVC and STATCOM systems including VSC, phase leg reactor, FC branch, pre-charging circuit.
• You will support tendering engineer to prepare technical proposal.
• You will support Sales to present Statcom solution to Customer.
• You will investigate AC/DC EAF process and Grid code requirement.
• You will be able to review customer specifications and develop equipment and system design specifications, Knowhow of PSCAD Simulation.

• Bachelor or above majoring in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Power system and its automation.
• Required couple of years experience and more.
• Good knowledge in MMC power electronic equipment (IGBT/IGCT) and Statcom control strategy in Industry and Utility application.
• Proficiency in English language.
