Tinder is looking for a Data Software Engineer who has a passion for security, compliance, and automation! This position reports to the data engineering group and will work closely with stakeholders in Security and Privacy, as well as Product and other engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to support and implement groundbreaking technologies that provide compliance controls for our cloud and hybrid database environments. You will also have the responsibility of securing various critical relational/NoSQL databases.

In this Data Engineering role, you will:
- Translate compliance control language into terms that engineers can apply to their processes and work
- Design, govern, and automate set of controls and associate implementation strategies
- Be the liaison between the external auditor and other internal teams to support certification audits
- Partner with various teams on developing security & compliance documentation for new technologies
What we're looking for:
- Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field
- 4+ years of experience as a data software engineer (experience with database security and compliance is a plus)
- Hands-on experience and understanding of AWS, cloud security practices, tools & automation, and IT compliance controls
- In-depth knowledge of Relational, NoSQL, and Data technologies
- Expertise with Airflow, Scala, Java, Jenkins, Python, or shell scripting preferably in cloud environments
- Experience leading GDPR, PCI, or SOX audit or worked with an engineering organization with technical solutions to meet controls in a large scale environment
