Product Designer, Design Systems (Contract)

We are seeking a Product Designer (Contract) to help us build our Design System component library. This assignment will be 40hrs/week for 2 months minimum. The ideal Product Designer will be detail-focused, familiar with HIG and material patterns, and passionate about interaction and UI design best practices. 

*This role will be on payroll via a third party

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Design System team members to collect and provide feedback on component creation

  • Conduct discovery research including but not limited to:
  • Competitive analyses
  • Review of best practices and platform conventions (Android, iOS, Web)
  • Review existing inventory and audit research
  • Interviews of internal Design System consumers
  • Synthesize and document findings of discovery research in a digestible format
  • Assist in creating documentation and supporting assets for usage guidelines
  • Explore and propose component variations for our library

What you have:

  •  1-3 years experience
  • Mobile and web experience, with portfolio or work samples
  • Meticulous consideration of interaction design best practices
  • Experience creating or working with style guides or design systems
  • Impeccable visual design skills and strong understanding of foundational design basics (form, color theory and typography).
  • Proficient in Figma 
  • Your own workstation
