Working Student- C++ (Autonomous Driving with HD Maps) (m/f/x)
What's the role?
We are seeking a motivated Software Engineering Working Student to join our HERE Architecture Team. Our team designs systems to cater to cutting edge map making usecases. The team actively drives technology stack build out of the baseline implementation for validating the designs.
As an intern/ working student, you will be working with our architects and engineers on rapid build out of early prototypes. The work cuts across different technologies and domains, and involves building solutions for edge devices as well as backend. You will gain experience in applying modern technologies to solving complex problems in autonomous driving space.

What You’ll Do?
- Work closely with senior software engineers to develop proof-of-concept solutions, minimum viable products, and fully deployable applications.
- Build and test software solutions for edge platforms.
- Participate in exercises around model training, software validation as well as test suite definition.
- Create data analytics workflows and build dashboards that provide operational insights.
- Help enhance CI/CD pipelines and contribute to deployment automation in a cloud environment.
- Document technical solutions and present your work to team members and stakeholders.
Who are you?
- Currently pursuing a master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Solid grasp on computer science foundations.
- Grasp on application of AI/ML in areas of computer vision, autonomous driving, robotics etc.
- Practical knowledge in data analytics technology stack.
- Proficient in one or more of following programming languages: C++, Python, Kotlin, Java
- Familiar with SQL databases and version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines, or QA processes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English
