Sr Software Engineer

What's the role?

As the Sr Software Engineer , your main responsibilities include:

• Deployment of production ready systems and infrastructure
• Monitoring of running processes to ensure proper functioning of software
• Performing map data testing and map release activities
• Agile development of software
• Continuous integration and automated testing of developed code
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery of systems and infrastructure
• Conducting Investigations and root cause analysis of software and system defects
• Identifying and providing solutions for common needs across stakeholders
• Working with end users and incorporating feedback into the product
• Working with Product Management and Architecture Teams to chart Engineering backlogs
• Reaching out and demonstrating products to Customers and helping them use our products efficiently
• Planning sprint backlogs and resolving any impediments
• Committing to deliver the product on-time without compromising on quality

Who are you?

You will have success on this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience:

• Degree in Software Engineering or related fields.
• Strong programming skills with 7+ years of experience
• Full-stack development skills with validated skills in Scala/Java and Micro Services. Python skills are an advantage.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment; etc. Git, Gitlab/Jenkins, GoCD
• Experience running production service on cloud based environment, like AWS
• Experience with trouble shooting distributed applications and strong problem solving skills
• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Experience with agile methods, DevOps and tools
• Proven experience producing and deploying production software
• Ability to work well with a distributed team of strong performers
