What's the role?

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving HERE Automotive revenue growth and other key metrics throughout China and the Greater China region.

 

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, interpreting, and communicating key drivers & trends at the client organization in Greater China automotive industry to help shape the strategic direction of HERE.
  • Leading sales and business development activities with appropriate technical and management staff to develop solutions and proposals for both potential and existing customers including auto OEMs and System Vendors.
  • Accepting and achieving the OKR/ objectives and sales targets ( Bookings and Revenues) assigned from the leadership team and ensuring an aligned execution with APAC and Global Customer Organisation objectives.
  • Reviewing market analysis to determine customer needs, appropriate price schedules, etc.
  • Participating in trade shows, exhibitions and other customer marketing activities to enhance the use and sale of HERE services and products.
  • Preparing and delivering weekly business progress reports and sales pipeline, revenue and bookings forecast with strong sense of data hygiene and self-restriction.
  • Being responsible for results of business and driving through contract negotiations.
  • Providing account plans and multi-level customer coverage plans.

Who are you?

You are a sales professional with experience in hunting business opportunities and converting to revenue, in the automotive industry in Greater China regions. You work with minimum supervision and believe in solving business problems rather than just pushing your product. In addition to opening new accounts/ opportunities, you also have experience in managing a certain number of current accounts and projects.

 

You are strong fit for this role if you possess the following skills, competencies, and work experience:

 

  • 10+ years + of relevant sales experience (both hunting and farming)
  • Understanding of the automotive industry verticals ie, In Vehicle Infotainment, Connected Vehicle Services, Location Based Services and Highly Automated Driving use cases and software/ hardware integrations.
  • Understanding of Chinese automotive market including direct sales experience with OEM, system vendor (SV) and Tier 1. Having good understanding and practical operational experience in the Internet, EV and autonomous driving market ecosystem.
  • Understanding of emerging competitors’ strategies/actions and develops counter-strategies ensuring that HERE continues as the leading digital map database and service supplier.
  • Direct sales experience with ability to work and deliver outcomes under pressure. Strong will to exceed the sales targets and strong accountability in execution.
  • Familiar with software licensing business model and SV partnership in automotive industry is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly develop a core understanding of the database, related software and hardware platforms, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to understand the customer’s key financial measures and HERE’s accounting methods with an emphasis on accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ability to establish and nurture influential customer relationships with an emphasis on facilitating company-to-company executive level relationships.
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills. Strong sense of competition, time and commitment.
  • Ability of adapting to frequent business trips, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and working collaboratively efficiently under time pressure.
  • Strong oral and written skills in Mandarin and English.
