Senior Software Engineer (Java/ Scala)- Hybrid / Remote

What's the role?

As a Senior Software Engineer, Your role will be to manage requirements and implement into our software: a compiler that collects analytics raw data from the map, and an analytics tool that gets meaningful views on the raw analytics data.

• The team is responsible of getting an insight in the maps delivered to customers. Maps are covering most regions in the world, so working with maps is working with Big Data.
• The challenge is to know what is inside the map, and to see for each country where it differs from previous versions or from other maps.

Who are you?

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong in Java/Scala backend programming.
• Knowledge of databases+SQL.
• Strong and applied Big Data skills (Apache Spark, Hadoop, AWS EMR)
• Strong and applied AWS skills (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Experience with CI/CD tools, with a preference to GitLab
• Passion for maps
