Traveling Repair Technician - Wakefield Massachusetts

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is a traveling position throughout the US and is responsible for repairing equipment such as milling machines, 3D printers, and curing furnaces. As well as providing quotes to customers and maintaining adequate repair parts inventory to ensure timely turnaround. Training will be provided.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 2 or more years' experience with electronic or small equipment repair.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 50% - Repair high-tech equipment in accordance with repair processes and quality guidelines.
  • 15% - Evaluate, estimate, and process high-tech equipment for repair.
  • 5% - Maintain adequate inventory to complete repairs and place orders to meet inventory requirements as needed.

  • 10% - Contact customers with repair estimates as requested and obtain approval for repairs.
  • 5% - Properly package and send high-tech equipment for return delivery.
  • Prepare inventory usage and other reports as requested by the manager.
  • 5% - Input repair orders into the invoicing system.
  • 5% - Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
  • 5% - In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, also responsible for:

    • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding workplace conduct in completing job duties and assignments.

    SUPERVISION:

    Work under minimal supervision and may determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION:

    Typically high school education, vocational training, and/or on-the-job training.

    TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    This travel opportunity involves a technician who will travel across the United States for approximately 50% of their time. As a technician, your primary responsibilities will involve providing technical support and maintenance for various systems and equipment at different locations throughout the country. Office environment. Must be able to lift 75 lbs if required.

    Salary Range

    The posted range for this position is $36,360 - $63,640 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
