Transportation Rep - International
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Performs 100% auditing of all invoices to ensure correct items have been picked, invoices are correct, and hazardous items are properly packed, segregated, and labeled to conform to the Department of Transportation regulations
-Checks invoices for special shipping instructions, and creates all documentation that may be necessary. Completes a hazardous materials shipment log and a shippers certification report for UPS
-Communicates shipments to each sipping destination and coordinates return to vendors
-Utilizes equipment provided by a system administrator for UPS, FedEx, and Pitney Bowes. Conducts an inventory and orders all shipping supplies for UPS, FedEx, and USPS, and is knowledgeable with their systems. Disposes of empty boxes, packaging, and shipment material appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.
-Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
-Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including World Wide Business Standards.
-Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
-Ability to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment. Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Good communication (written/verbal) skills. Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines. Good problem-solving skills. Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments. Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).

Experience:
-One year of experience with international shipments and knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
Other:
-High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
Physical Activities:
Strong reading, math, computer, and communication skills. Needs to be detail-oriented, flexible, well-organized, and have the ability to problem-solve. Ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse.
-Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Also, may encounter various environmental conditions such as hot and cool temperatures, hazardous items, noise, and dust. May also be necessary to use step ladders to perform tasks involving climbing and reaching. Must be able to stand while operating equipment bearing full weight on both feet. May be required to work on machines which operate up to 5 levels high.
