Job Description

How you'll make an impact

As a Product Designer focusing on the patient experience using our cloud-based product, Dentally, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our portal platform, which serves 1.5 million patients each month and 93% accessing the service via mobile devices. You will design intuitive patient interfaces seamlessly integrating into our main Practice Management software. Your work will transform the experience for patients as they engage with the app, making their interactions intuitive and enjoyable. About the team

At Henry Schein One UK, we follow a trio-based approach to product development, where a Product Designer, Product Manager, and Tech Lead collaborate closely in a squad to drive innovation. You'll join this trio, working together to solve real-world problems and create impactful, user-centred solutions. Reporting to the Head of Product Design, you'll be part of a small team of fellow Product Designers with plans to expand further. In this role, you'll also contribute to our global design strategy, supporting and inspiring our design community while promoting best practices and innovation.

What you'll do
  • Produce beautiful user interfaces in Figma, crafting engaging wireframes that enhance the user experience
  • Coach and mentor team members in design best practices, fostering a culture of continuous development and leading by example.
  • Leverage the potential of AI tooling to optimise workflows and develop AI-powered features, similar to the Dentally Vision AI imaging tool.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and design technologies to keep our products at the cutting edge.
  • Motivate and inspire your squad-mates and fellow designers to meet and exceed targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain a trusting and collaborative environment, enabling the team to thrive.
  • Communicate effectively and tell compelling stories, clearly articulating the vision and rationale behind design decisions to all stakeholders, from executives to developers.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, actively listening to feedback and thoughtfully integrating it to refine and enhance design solutions.
  • Demonstrate how design can drive business value and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Utilise your expertise in user research, at times employing ethnographic research techniques to gather valuable insights.
  • Contribute to creating a systemised components library in Figma, ensuring consistency and efficiency across design projects.
  • Leverage experience in Growth Squads to implement A/B testing and rapid prototyping, driving data-informed design decisions and iterative improvements.
  • Apply your experience in creating scalable software solutions to ensure the Dentally product is robust, flexible, and future-proof, ready to meet the needs of a growing user base.

What you'll bring with you

  • 8-10 years of experience in product design.
  • Strong UX research skills; ethnographic research expertise is a plus.
  • Proven experience in form design focused on usability.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams (Trios).
  • Experience in open design practices with frequent sharing and collaboration.
  • Proficient in Figma for UI design and wireframing.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Experience in Growth Squads would be beneficial, specifically with A/B testing and variant testing.
