Project Manager

Lagos, Nigeria

The Project Manager will manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Plan and manage assigned deployment projects ensuring that they are successfully completed in accordance with established scope, timelines, budgets, risks management, quality and technical standards.
  • Coordinate and guide deployment projects throughout their project lifecycle. Prepare appropriate project plans with supporting documentation.
  • Analyze the economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost-benefit and return-on-investment standards.
  • Monitor overall project progress systematically including identification of risks, issues escalation, initiating contingency plans and corrective actions where necessary.

  • Manage project administration including required technical documentation as well as report in a clear and periodic manner on progress of projects.
  • Design guidelines and framework for managing the journey to customer success; ensuring that captured requirements and deliverables are efficiently deployed.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels, collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Assess project performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish clear escalation protocols for addressing issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

  • External Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the key contact person for clients or partners, maintaining regular communication to address needs and concerns.
    • Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders to review proposed modifications on project plans, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
    • Work closely with clients to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
    • Engage with regulatory bodies or compliance agencies as necessary to ensure project adherence to relevant regulations and standards.

    • Support growth teams by leveraging relationships to expedite collections.

    Internal Stakeholder Management

    • Manage key internal stakeholders to ensure the required buy-in and support throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from contract finalization, definition of Statement of Work through implementation and project close out.
    • Coordinate project teams to support all aspects of project planning and execution activities with emphasis on defining and providing management reporting for schedule, milestones and deliverables, and quality metrics.
    • Communicate proactively with all relevant stakeholders to identify problems, create solutions, and implement enhancements to operational efficiency.
    • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to ensure the appropriate approvals are obtained and changes required are accurately implemented within reasonable time line

    Business Insight
    • Provide technical input and support to strategic growth and commercial efforts.
    • Review user requirements and usability metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with Product Development Teams other relevant teams in evaluating new technology and tools as opportunities for innovation, service excellence and improved methodology.

    Requirement:
    • Minimum 6 years' broad experience in managing deployment of technology related projects
    • Extensive Experience deploying enterprise grade software
    • Strong accountability and collaborative skills with a high degree of ethical standards and integrity
    • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
    • Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion and analytical skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility
    • Advanced understanding of project management practices, methodologies, tools and techniques
    • Focused and self-motivated approach to work
    • High mathematical aptitude and strong problem solving skills
    • Digitally savvy and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Project Management and work productivity tools
    • First Degree is preferred
    • Professional Qualification - PMP, PRINCE II - is preferred

    Job Type: Contract
