ABOUT THE ROLE

Working directly with our SEO team, affiliate team and editors you'll get a front row view of the latest trends, hottest new product reviews, forward-thinking thought leaders, celebrity, political and entertainment topics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist SEO director in planning and implantation of SEO strategy across 14 brand websites.
  • Mentor, develop and manage junior members of team members
  • Develop and facilitate implementation of our SEO strategy internationally
  • Anticipate and plan for technological and behavioural changes in search.
  • Implement the SEO content strategy for sites that seamlessly mixes into their editorial calendar and tone of voice. Inputting keyword ideas, but also looking to exploit new content opportunities, competitor content and keyword gaps, spotting emerging trends, seasonal opportunities, and innovative takes on what's trending on the web, news, and social platforms.
  • Optimise content on the regular basis but adding value not just regurgitating keyword lists - find ways to make each optimisation creative and fun.
  • You will work directly in our CMS (Content Management System) updating content, meta titles and descriptions, URLs, optimising internal linking, creating aggregated content pages, etc.
  • Interrogate monthly reports, Google Analytics, and communicate wins and learnings. And deep dive analysis to inform further strategy decisions.
  • Live and breathe all things Search. Stay on top of the industry, test out new product features, and ensure we are always playing nicely with every algorithm update.
  • To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
  • Effectively and proactively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.
ABOUT YOU
  • Proven hands-on SEO experience
  • Currently in a primarily SEO focused role
  • Knowledge of on-Page Ranking factors
  • Extensive keyword Research experience
  • Understanding of Seasonal Keyword changes
  • Experience recommending/creating Search specific content
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must be able to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues.
  • A commercial mind-set, consistently focused on driving revenues
  • Must have a passion to stay current on SEO
  • Experience with Google Search Console
  • Experience working with an enterprise level CMS
  • Google Analytics
  • Willingness to develop and expand knowledge of SEO and useful tools including Excel
  • Affiliate and or ecommerce experience
