ABOUT THE ROLE:

You will design and support the Art Director and Art Editor in designing across all ELLE and Harpers Bazaar platforms and channels - print, digital, social, newsletters, events, marketing materials, internal documents and commercial projects. This is from initial design concept through to the final printed product for each. To design pages to suit the style of each brand, maintaining their brand identity always.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Luxury Art Hub in the design and layouts of all pages for ELLE and Harper's Bazaar magazines.
  • Repro and final pages ready for print production
  • Support the art team with general administrative tasks
  • Commission illustrators where appropriate for features across both titles
  • Design regular pages and features across all titles
  • Attend art meetings and generate exciting ideas for layout of features and regular pages
  • To work with industry-standard toolsets to complete your work, as well as work within the prescribed processes of the structured workflow systems used to create editorial content
  • Design for digital, events and brand marketing as necessary
  • To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.
  • You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.

  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Fully adaptable - able to design across all titles on all multi-platform offerings
  • Able to build close working relationships with the entire team and completely understand the vision of each brand
  • Enthusiasm and endless supply of new ideas

  • The ability to think creatively
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Some experience working as a Designer on a publication in the consumer magazine market and digital experience.
