The Data Science Analyst will support the implementation and maintenance of technology systems that promote efficient data collection and dissemination within the organization and with our external partners.

Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Data Science, the Analyst will assist with developing and maintaining HCZ's data and reporting systems and ensure high-quality data health. Critically, the Analyst will synthesize, summarize, and share data in a format that helps the organization make informed decisions around key business questions and understand its impact.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a data analytics or business intelligence background and experience organizing complex data systems to contribute to the continued growth, learning, and success of a frontline organization with comprehensive services.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related subject; master's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of data-related experience; work experience in academic or non-profit setting strongly preferred.

Who You Are

  • 1-2 years' experience building dashboards in Tableau required; Tableau Cloud/Server Administration a plus.
  • Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
  • Outstanding analytical ability and knowledge of programming language (i.e. SQL, R, Python), and statistical modeling; experience with Salesforce and Qualtrics a plus.
  • Experience with data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
  • Ability to produce high-quality deliverables on time.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organization with varying degrees of data literacy and dashboard familiarity.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate data to both technical and non-technical audiences

What You'll Do

  • Identify the appropriate internal and external data sources to answer key business intelligence questions; implement projects from dataset preparation to dashboard development to dashboard launch.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs; incorporate needs into data insight designs.
  • Derive actionable insights from data and communicate findings via reports and dashboards.
  • Support the development, administration, and maintenance of HCZ's data management and reporting systems, including user access management and permission settings.
  • Monitor data quality and develop policies and procedures to set standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to key stakeholders to ensure effective use of software systems and data tools.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday (9 am - 5 pm)
  • Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 per year.
