The growing Hachette Book Group Special Markets team is looking for a motivated Sales Associate to oversee day-to-day operations on Faire.com, a leading B2B platform for retailers. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Executive Director of Gift and Specialty Sales to drive success on the Faire platform and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and execute strategies to increase sales and revenue on Faire.com, including promotions, marketing efforts, direct outreach, and maintaining top shop status.
- Collaborate with internal teams and distribution partners to communicate product updates, launches, and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to Faire.com accounts, ensuring timely, professional, and solution-oriented communication.
- Build and maintain detailed product listings, including high-quality images, optimized descriptions, collections, and bundling options.
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to promote new products and acquire new accounts on the platform.
- Route new account leads to the appropriate sales representatives for follow-up.
- Coordinate with order entry and compliance teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date product and order data.
- Monitor order status, fulfillment, and account updates.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by tracking account openings, engagement, and sales growth.

Travel Requirements
This role may require occasional travel to regional gift shows across the U.S. during winter and summer markets to represent Hachette Book Group.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant sales, account management, or e-commerce experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights to drive performance.
- Creative problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with the Faire platform is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, with strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Outlook, and PowerPoint.

The compensation for this position is $55,000-65,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
