Hachette Book Group is seeing an Associate National Account Manager responsible for selling Hachette Book Group Children’s titles to Readerlink and other key distributors.
We are looking for a candidate who has a customer-centric mindset, is a strong communicator and someone who has a proven track record of building excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally. The ideal candidate has a proactive and analytical mindset with an eye for detail. Strong presentation skills, commercial acumen and sales analysis skills are also vital to this highly visible sales role.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Maximizing sales growth on frontlist and backlist titles throughout the year
- Preparing and presenting titles to the accounts on a regular basis
- Managing item set up of key children’s titles in account portals
- Communicating with the wider sales team and Publishing regarding account activity and strategy and reorders
- Representing the accounts at all internal meetings including Launch, Strategy, Sales conference, and sales and marketing meetings
- Running regular sales reports, including POS reports, sell-in recaps, market share updates, and seasonal promotions
- Supporting the Sales Managers and Associate Director with additional presentation support as needed.

- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public speaking preferred
- Prior experience in children’s/YA publishing preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
- Ability to work well under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- The role is NYC based, and the candidate will need to be in the office three days a week as part of the hybrid working policy at HBG.

The compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
