We are seeking a dynamic and organized Associate Manager/Manager, Title Management to join our team! This key position will involve collaborating across various functions within the company, ensuring smooth coordination between departments while managing the lifecycle of titles from estimate to print. The ideal candidate will be skilled at problem-solving, have strong communication abilities, and possess a comprehensive understanding of the publishing marketplace, key accounts, and order and inventory management nuances.
 
As an Associate Manager/Manager in Title Management, you will oversee the sales estimate and print process for a specific group of titles, working closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business goals. This role reports into the Director, Title Management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the estimate process for a designated group of titles, ensuring that estimates are accurately confirmed.  Manage the estimates through on-sale to avoid over shipping.
  • Manage the initial print process for sales, work with the account managers to confirm quantities and communicate with Inventory on any changes.
  • Monitor and manage hot titles, ensuring that sales forecasts are always up to date.
  • Collaborate effectively with Inventory and Production teams to address stock issues, reprint timing, and new print requests.
  • Work with the retail teams on account promotion needs and timing.
  • Conduct systematic reviews of new title orders and POS information to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of process changes and the establishment of best practices.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable navigating multiple priorities. If you meet the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience publishing, with hands-on experience in sales, inventory, operations, or production. Exposure to a variety of account bases is essential. Experience in Children’s or Client Sales is preferred.  
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to thrive under pressure and deliver effective problem-solving solutions.
  • Adaptable and agile, with the ability to pivot quickly as needs evolve.
  • Understanding of the entire publishing industry and its processes.
  • Solutions-focused, with a constructive approach to addressing challenges.
  • NYC-based position, with remote work options available.

The compensation range for the associate level starts at $59,500; the salary range for the Manager level is $62,000 - $70,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
