Facility Coordinator

Roermond, Netherlands

As Facility Coordinator, you have an important role in delivering good and efficient services. You take care of all operational facility activities at our site in Roermond and Wessem. In doing so, you take care of the deployment, supervision and monitoring of suppliers and, when necessary, you deploy our facility employee(s) to solve minor defects or maintenance work. With a view to internal security, you are the designated person for supervising external service providers, as well as for commissioning services such as maintenance of logistics assets and inspections. When necessary, you take care of facility purchases within the budget. Periodically, you assess the entire facilities service and provide improvement proposals (also focused on efficiency). Naturally, you are also responsible for ensuring that bodies can carry out audits and inspections.

What you do on a typical day
  • You take care of communication with the operations regarding the work to be carried out;
  • You advise the Facility Supervisor and/or Manager
  • You are responsible for facility preconditions, such as building and site maintenance;
  • You are responsible for all facilities for employees and visitors on site (security and cleaning);
  • You identify potential risks and violations in and around the buildings and ensure safe working conditions;
  • Maintaining contacts with external parties regarding breakdowns, quality and safety;
  • You are willing to work on a consignment shift for the entire BU when applicable
What you need to succeed at GXO
  • MBO+ or HBO diploma (facilities management) and you have several years of experience at operational level, preferably you have a VCA Certificate
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in facilities and logistics, building management and technically skilled;
  • You have a proactive and flexible attitude towards 24-hour operations (on-call service)
  • You have demonstrable technical and management knowledge, including knowledge of: Sprinklers, fire prevention, MHE, but also knowledge of security systems and NEN certifications
  • Organisational skills, customer-oriented and stress-resistant;
  • Communicative skills and actively seeks cooperation with other departments;
  • You are hands-on, solution-oriented and have a service-oriented attitude;
  • You are flexible;
  • You can work independently and cooperate well in a team;
  • You have good knowledge of administrations, systems and applications to be managed, such as Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Experience with an FMIS system is a plus.
