Lead DevOps Engineer

As a Lead – of DevOps & Cloud Engineering, you will be a core member of the engineering leadership team. In this role, you will manage and lead a team of Sys. Admin and DevOps engineers. You will be responsible for developing and executing a Development Operations (DevOps) strategy to ensure quality software deployments and overall application health and performance 

What You’ll Do: 

• Complete ownership of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Site reliability engineering supporting Enterprise Production, Development, and Test workloads.
• Manage Kubernetes cluster and Helm Charts
• Lead and manage a team of experienced System Administrators and DevOps engineers in our global team.
• Provision, install, configure, optimize, maintain, and support all components of the Web Applications Stack:
• (Linux, Apache, SQL, PHP, Solr, Elastic Search, Redis, Couchbase)
• Automate governance functions using Pipelines for MS teams/slack for approvals.
• Automate DevSecOps pipelines and ensure DevSecOps best practices are being adhered.
• Work closely with the InfoSec team to ensure adherence to Guidepoint’s security standards.
• Efficiently use cloudOps services to gain operational efficiency.
• Work closely with App Ops, Engineering, and CloudOps teams to resolve complex problems.
• Ensure availability, reliability, Scalability, and performance of Automation for both CI/CD
• Triage pipeline and act as SME on pipeline issues
• Effectively prioritize to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Use monitoring, logging, and alerting to develop automated service remediation scripts for proactively managing pipelines.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of DevOps processes.
• Be cost-aware and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Align and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers on CI/CD best practices. Contribute to overall engineering initiatives as a member of the engineering leadership team.

What You Have: 

• 8+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer / System Administrator
• 3+ years of managing teams that run  DevSecOps (SAST/DAST/IAST/SCA) pipelines and meeting release criteria
• 3+ Years of managing SRE functions and supporting Service reliability.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of System Administrators and Cloud/DevOps Engineers
• 3+ years of managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and Helm Charts
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of Linux (CentOs), PHP (configs/modules), Apache, Nginx, Solr, Elastic Search Clusters, Redis, Couchbase, SQL Server, and RabbitMQ.
• Well-versed in git version control.
