Procurement Specialist - R&D - Clinical (Site & Patient Services)

We have a new opportunity for a Specialist to join our team on a full time permanent basis, a pivotal role supporting the R&D Procurement team.

In this role you will...

  • Perform a Sourcing and Contracting role in GSK
  • Conduct sourcing of outsourced services for individual clinical trials or programs, either as part of an overarching category strategy or for ad-hoc requirements
  • Lead contract planning, negotiation, execution and maintenance to deliver compliant, well-specified agreements that maximise value for GSK
  • Implement and support procurement category strategies to maximise supplier leverage and value for GSK
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders globally, requiring high cultural awareness
  • Know the sourcing group management process and policies; assess and adhere to risk, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Support the implementation and use of policies and processes
  • Have knowledge of market research approaches and follows external trends
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce non value add work, inclusive of appropriate buying channels

Basic Qualifications
  • University Degree - Procurement, Business, Finance or relevant scientific discipline
  • Experience in procurement, outsourcing or contract management (with a preference for R&D services or other scientific services provisions)
  • English proficiency
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • Stakeholder management skills - ability to exercise judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills
