Procurement Specialist - R&D - Clinical (Site & Patient Services)
We have a new opportunity for a Specialist to join our team on a full time permanent basis, a pivotal role supporting the R&D Procurement team.
In this role you will...
- Perform a Sourcing and Contracting role in GSK
- Conduct sourcing of outsourced services for individual clinical trials or programs, either as part of an overarching category strategy or for ad-hoc requirements
- Lead contract planning, negotiation, execution and maintenance to deliver compliant, well-specified agreements that maximise value for GSK
- Implement and support procurement category strategies to maximise supplier leverage and value for GSK
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders globally, requiring high cultural awareness
- Know the sourcing group management process and policies; assess and adhere to risk, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Support the implementation and use of policies and processes
- Have knowledge of market research approaches and follows external trends
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce non value add work, inclusive of appropriate buying channels

Basic Qualifications
- University Degree - Procurement, Business, Finance or relevant scientific discipline
- Experience in procurement, outsourcing or contract management (with a preference for R&D services or other scientific services provisions)
- English proficiency
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Stakeholder management skills - ability to exercise judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple projects using project management skills
