Position Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, the Small Packaging Operator is a key member of the local Supply Chain team. This position will make a positive contribution, enabling Griffith Foods Canada to continue to grow and operate in an effective, efficient, and profitable manner.

Major Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Supervisor of Griffith Foods Canada on an ongoing basis and communicates all relevant matters pertaining to Operations.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, maintains extensive knowledge of raw materials and manufactured goods.
- Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions covering the tasks relating to the position's function as outlined in the department's quality manual, in accordance with Griffith Management System requirements.
- Locates, weighs, counts and combines ingredients according to manufacturing formulae and production worksheets.
- Ensures material (25 lbs. or less) is sealed, packaged, loaded, sorted and inventoried correctly.
- Communicate with team members when material is short or missing.
- Completes necessary paperwork and labels for packaging, ensuring correct information is noted as per the departmental requirements.
- Obtains required material (25lbs. or less) using the tow motor.
- Delivers batched material (25 lbs. or less) to staging area with tow motor.
- Ensure material is removed from hoppers and the hoppers are cleaned and sanitized as per departmental requirements.
- Always keeps work area sanitary and safe.
- Verifies own work as follows:
- Checks that all ingredients as required on formulae are present.
- Checks that all weights are correct.
- Checks that final pallet is assembled correctly.
- Communicates internally with other departments for the purpose of gathering materials and maintaining inventories. No external communication.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Understands and follows all security policies.

What Will You Bring?
- High school diploma - Required.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical foundations - Required.
