Purpose of the Position

• Using specific specialist expertise (coatings) to maintain & grow the business via the development of innovative, profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products &/or solutions relevant to multiple customers.
• Having a broader business knowledge with the ability to think outside the box to support the strategic direction of the business.
• Solutions should be process stable, both internally and externally whilst still ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

• Work collaboratively with R&D, marketing and customers to lead the on time in full development and delivery of proactive, innovative, marketable, profitable products.

• Develop, deploy, apply and customise innovation solutions and tailor for specific market needs.

• Create, formulate, and provide process parameters for new product developments aligned with customer, legislative and food safety requirements within the scope of Griffith long range plan and purpose driven strategy.

• Applies nutritional knowledge to design and execute R&D solutions and transform the product portfolio aligned with LRP.

• Coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team, deploying developments to the wider team

• Sets own and others priorities and works independently to deliver work load on time and in full.

• Formula Management

• Creates a partnership relationship with strategic customers

• Coordinate, plan and run production trials of new products, both internally and at partner or customer locations; provide technical support in resolving complex issues and completes full technical reports.

• Understand, contribute and where necessary measure the delivery of Business Key Performance Indicator's

• Use relevant IT systems correctly to ensure that full audit trail is in place and all metrics for KPI's can be measured.

• Understand complex customers' requirements (ingredient, product, and legislative), operational processes and technical requirements.

• Write and conduct product presentations & workshops In collaboration with the wider GTM team, showing our products in application & in a marketable format.

• Interpret market data and trend analysis to create proactive innovative products to defend and grow our market position.

• Manage complex and cross functional projects and processes

• Support quality & operations on product optimisation, up scaling and root cause analysis.

• Undertake full organoleptic analysis of food products (therefore no food allergies or food restrictions.)

• Support Health and Safety standards, rules and regulations of the organisation proactively and visibly.

• Either a degree in Food Technology or related subject OR proven relevant on the job experience.

• Considered as an expert within their field.

• A level of relevant and proven experience within the food industry, diverse understanding of FMCG industry
• English fluent
