Location: Alsip, IL
Pay Scale: Min $85K - Max $115K (US Currency)
Summary: Are you a detail-oriented payroll expert with a passion for optimizing processes and collaborating across teams? We are looking for a dynamic Payroll Manager who is proficient utilizing Workday. This position is a key leadership role in the coordination and management of payroll activities in the United States and Canada.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the processing of the bi-weekly Workday payroll system in the United States and Canada.
- Prepares and oversees the preparation of payroll-related documents for the purpose of meeting compliance requirements, documenting activities and providing audit support.
- Coordinate and manage all payroll tax audits in the United States and Canada.
- Coordinate funding of payroll, payroll tax plan obligations with Corporate Treasury.
- Coordination of the reporting and payments by the Griffith Foods Foundation, including review of all donation requests for the appropriate support, processing approved donations for payment and accounting by unit vs. the donation budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience with emphasis in payroll.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, honesty and integrity.
- Strong leadership and people skills. Ability to raise issues, positively challenge others and be initiative-taking.
- Ability to manage sensitive, confidential matters and protect the security of information.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience with a broad range of US states and Canada supporting full cycle payroll of 1,000+ employees.
- Proven experience leading team members to achieve results.
- Proficiency in payroll and time tracking systems, such as Workday, ADP, CloudPay with experience implementing and managing payroll systems.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages with all levels in the organization, including breaking down complex topics for target audiences.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
