Position Summary:
Reporting to the Team Leader, this role is responsible for effective and efficient daily operation of Liquids area in service of Supply Chain's overall goals of delivering customer orders on time and in full safely, in compliance with Quality standards and efficiently.
Major Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Team Leader, of Griffith Foods Canada on an ongoing basis and communicates all relevant matters pertaining to Operations.
- Ensure that the health and safety is the first concern of daily operations.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, maintains extensive knowledge of raw materials and manufactured goods.
- Carries out duties according to procedures and work instructions covering the tasks relating to the position's function as outlined in the department's quality manual, in accordance with Griffith Management System requirements.
- Setup/changeover and operate fast packaging machines.
- Repetitive lifting of 25 kg boxes.
- Issue raw materials in the system and follow manufacturing instructions.
- Utilize PLC control to operate equipment to make the mixes and do physical online tests to ensure product meets quality standards.
- Ensures that all liquid production processes and activities are set and run in a manner which maximizes food safety, quality, efficiency and safety whilst meeting cost targets.
- Actively supports the company's quality and continuous improvement programs to ensure productivity improvements and reduction/ removal of non-value-added activities.
- Monitors and controls the liquid production area to ensure standards are maintained.
- Involved in the induction and training of new and existing employees.
- Participates in and plans and supports all R&D activities within assigned processes.
- Ensures Co-ordination of maintenance activities to minimize downtime in production and the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Assists in the day to day running of designated liquids processes.
- Records all downtime, QS checks on Redzone and paperwork as required.
- Exercises Good Manufacturing Practices, sanitation and production procedures enhancements.
- Collaborates with R&D in trial preparation and in develop optimum manufacturing instructions.
- Ensures product quality, food safety and yield targets are met.
- Communicate with previous and next shift to ensure a smooth handoff for continuous production.
- Ensure safety procedures are fulfilled throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
- Look for ways to improve the process and work environment and help implement the improvements through the Supply Chain One Kaizen A Month program.
- Understand and follow all security, HACCP, GMP, and BRC policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned within and outside of the department.

What Will You Bring?

- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment - Required.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
