Purpose of the Role
The Financial Controller is accountable for all financial aspects of the assigned region. This position plays a key role in Internal & External Reporting accuracy and analysis, audit coordination and ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulations in the Region. The Financial Controller will collaborate with other finance and operations teams to support strategic initiatives within the region. This position reports to the Head of Controlling, Tax and Treasury for EU Region. This position has no direct reports.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Balance sheet ownership for assigned entities
- Provide financial analysis and commentary to senior management regarding variances and financial trends.
- Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing processes for assigned entities (Monthly closing leader)
- Ensure the accuracy of Griffith Foods Internal Reporting for Group Consolidation (SAP BPC).
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Compliance with local legal, tax (including Griffith Foods Transfer Pricing Policy), and financial regulations.
- Responsibility for local and Group audit completion.
- Maintenance of proper internal controls.
- Lead and Achieve Statutory Requirements for assigned entities.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support external and internal audits by providing requested information and documentation
Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
- Collaborate with FP&A in the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the assigned entities operations (Specially in the Balance Sheet).
- Develop financial models and projections to support business planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- Expert in accounting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP/local GAAP), financial reporting and Audit.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics D365 preferred) and financial analysis tools
- Experience in Multinational Companies and Manufacturing/Food industry.
- Mentor accounting team and other finance professionals.
- Coordinate with other regional controllers to share best practices and standardize processes across the organization.
- Act as a financial advisor to the regional management team, providing insights and recommendations to drive financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
