Purpose of the Role
This position is responsible for the development and support of the server computing environments and ensures stable performance for all environments through performance monitoring, basic tuning, and systems maintenance of all assigned Datacenter systems. This position will support, refine and deploy Microsoft technology stack including on-prem server migration to Azure. Also help support our Disaster Recovery expansion needs and Global backup services.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Follows lead of Datacenter Director for the architectural, integration, maintenance, upgrade and support services of Griffith Foods datacenter technologies used worldwide. Includes systems analysis, support, development and capacity planning for the following:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Azure Environment
- Microsoft Windows Server
- VMware vSphere (V6.x & V7.x)
- Commvault Backup Systems
- Storage Area Networks (IBM Flashsystem)
- Support Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Services
- Disaster Recovery Services
- Data Center Server security solutions
- Supports server, domain, email, and virtualization project delivery, installations, configurations, updates and deployments.
- Ensures all Datacenter systems are regularly backed up and conducts system restore validations.
- Assists in delivery, design, testing, and ongoing support of the Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Performs cross training for other team members as needed. Also responsible for providing documentation on processes and best practices to be followed by the Service Desk team.
- Manage, monitor, patch, resolve issues, and ensure correct documentation for server hardware and software applications is created in a timely manner.
- Perform performance tuning and assessment, problem determination and root cause analysis on Datacenter systems.
- Help support and manage deployment of Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Services.
- Help design, deploy, and maintain Azure-based datacenter infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess architecture needs, and design scalable Azure solutions.
- Implement and manage Azure resource management policies, access controls, and security measures to ensure compliance and data protection.
- Monitor Azure infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity utilization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Network +, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MSCA), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCIPT), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Windows Server 2016/2019/2022; Microsoft Server Active Directory or other certification of a similar nature considered a plus.
- 10+ years of experience with knowledge of systems administration, software application installation and troubleshooting Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Exchange, backup/restore, patching, migration, business continuity/disaster recovery, Anti-Virus, and VMware products.
- Strong experience migrating data center services from on-prem to the cloud. (Azure preferred)
- Experience managing & monitoring Data Center Cloud Services.
- Experience managing Exchange server environments.
- Knowledge of systems such as VMware, Hyper-v, Storage Area Networks (SAN), FC and ISCSI SAN design and implementation (Dell Compellent, IBM Flashsystem) preferred.
- Display ability to operate in high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with backups of servers using industry standard backup tools and methodologies: Commvault experience is a plus.
- Experience managing and supporting a backup tool in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Cloud Services.
- Knowledge of general Disaster Recovery Deployment and Support Services.
- Demonstrate initiative and strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with IT staff and all levels of the organization.
- Maintain established performance levels to achieve individual and team goals.
- Certification in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) is highly desirable.
