Laundry Manager
Pay: $70000 per year - $70000 per year
Summary: The Laundry Manager is the core driver of front-line efficiency and effectiveness in the laundry and housekeeping department. This leadership role inspects facilities, recommends improvements, establishes workflows, standard procedures, and quality control plans. The Laundry Manager reports to the Director of Housekeeping and oversees all laundry operations and laundry team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates the laundry department and team members to ensure production standards, cleanliness, and operational efficiencies are met
- Responsible leadership of laundry team members, including; recruiting, hiring, coaching, retention, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels for the department.
- Trains new team members and ensures continued training and development of current team members
- Implements the financial strategy to manage budget, and labor & operating expense forecasts
- Ensures all safety and compliance standards are upheld, including managing chemical safety
- Partners with Engineering team to assure the safe operation and maintenance of all production equipment.
- Manages inventory process, maintain PAR levels, and ordering of supplies
- Addresses and resolves any employee or guest concerns as needed to ensure satisfaction
- Ensures compliance and timely completion of the performance appraisal process; identifies key talent and plans for development
- Actively participates in the Manager on Duty Program
- Models and upholds the Great Wolf policies and standards of excellence
Required Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Laundry Operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership position
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in labor management scheduling
- Demonstrated management skills and abilities including conflict resolution, coaching, development, and team building
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications & Traits
- Previous experience in Laundry or Housekeeping Experience in resort/hotel environment
- Experience creating and maintaining documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of business and financial analysis tools and processes
- Skilled in leading a diverse team to achieve goals and overcome challenges
- Demonstrated analytical, planning, and change implementation abilities
Estimated Salary Range:
$70000 per year - $70000 per year annual base salary
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
