Campus Ambassador (Part-Time, Flexible Hours, Nationwide)

Position Summary

Applications for this position are accepted on a rolling basis.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with flexible hours. The position runs until June 2022.

As a Campus Ambassador, you will aid the Great Oaks Foundation's recruitment efforts and increase awareness of the GO Fellowship program on college campuses and in the community. In this position, you will play an integral role in the development of our talent pipeline by increasing GO's access to college campuses, student and service organizations, and the communities we serve. You will serve as a founding team member in the launch of our new Campus Ambassadors program.

The GO Fellowship program benefits school communities from Maryland to Connecticut by providing individualized instruction, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities to small groups of students. The Great Oaks Foundation is dedicated to recruiting talented emerging and passionate professionals to participate in this program. The experience offered by the GO Fellowship has proven beneficial in supporting recent graduates in successfully launching their careers.

You are the ideal candidate for the Campus Ambassador position if you are a self-directed, service-oriented person who believes in the value of the GO Fellowship.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $25/ hour base pay (5 hours min and 10 hours max for Campus Ambassadors/ 15 hours max for Senior Campus Ambassadors)
  • $250 per referred hire (uncapped)
  • Gain valuable community outreach, marketing and recruitment experience
Key Responsibilities

As a Campus Ambassador you will:
  • source relevant student groups on campus and make connections to generate leads
  • market GO Fellowship program opportunities and share program information with on-campus clubs and organizations and department heads
  • field questions from interested candidates
  • meet with students, student organizations, and influential people on campus to discover new opportunities to promote the GO Fellowship
  • maintain positive relationships with campus contacts
  • lead info sessions
  • regularly utilize social media presence to market the GO Fellowship opportunity
  • table on-campus career events (when safe to to so)
  • attend a portion of a virtual career fair as a Handshake ambassador (when applicable)
  • source a minimum of 20 applicants with a minimum 2 hires
  • collaborate with Community Ambassadors
  • support the ongoing development of campus engagement strategies and approaches
  • act as a spokesperson for the GO Fellowship
Qualifications

You are qualified to apply if you meet the following requirements:
  • active and involved member at university or in community
  • skilled at building interpersonal relationships and comfortable meeting new people
  • motivated and self-directed
  • demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills
