Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $72,500.00 to $120,800.00.

Position Details:
The Government Program Manager will be the segment owner in their aligned states. You will execute the Public Safety (PS) strategy through supplier management, field work, and root cause analysis. The PS segment includes all state, local, and defined federal customers in law enforcement, fire-rescue/EMS, and all correctional facilities. The Government Program Manager will report to the Director, Incident & Emergency Management.
You Will:
- Lead the Government Public Safety programs as the subject matter expert / analyst on solving customer business issues and driving profitable sales growth through the integration of Grainger's major programs.
- Provide leadership to the field sales and management team and identify market opportunities.
- Implement the strategies that have been built and create successful engagements.
- Create tools and sales enablers that supplement the national strategies and guide program awareness, adoption and increase our sellers' effectiveness and productivity with targeted customers.
- Have expertise on how each PS segment and customer can integrate inventory management, e-commerce and safety into their business so we create a significant barrier to exit.
- Work with aligned Brand resources to maintain a detailed understanding of Grainger's go-to market strategy.
You Have:
- BS/BA ideal - Demonstrate sustained sales success.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement programs that address business issues and drives incremental revenue.
- Understand the organizational structure of suppliers and their relationship to Grainger. leverage these relationships to maximum advantage to both parties.
- Demonstrate the ability to sell at multiple levels in organizations.
- Strong product knowledge and market or industry knowledge.
- Manage strategic versus tactical activities to maximize sales partner efforts and results.
- Must be able to travel between 50-70%, on a regional basis.
- You must live in a major metro market in the Western US. (PST or MST)
