Position Details:

You will be responsible for product strategy of Grainger's Order capabilities. You will lead multiple product teams responsible for various aspects of how we structure, capture, process customer orders through the order life cycle.

Your success will depend on creating a shared vision across Grainger teams and leadership, developing a technology platform for Customer Order, and coordinating seamless integration and rollout for technology partners, operational teams, and customers.

You will report to the Group Product Manager. This role is based in Chicago IL, in a hybrid environment.

You Will:

  • Build an end-to-end understanding of the customer order life cycle.
  • Be a passionate advocate for the customer and team member experiences, especially around our ability to capture and process orders.
  • Lead a team of 3 to 5 Senior Product Managers and their teams that build creative, customer-focused product solutions.
  • Coordinate technology tools with operational processes to create cohesive customer experiences.
  • Promote alignment with operational partners in Supply Chain, Order-To-Cash, Customer Service, Distribution Centers, and other business units to create cohesive solutions across all Grainger channels.
  • Influence roadmaps for other product teams supporting customer channels, including Customer Information Management, KeepStock, and eProcurement.
  • Create a shared vision with senior leaders and build quickly with operational partners.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, science, math, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Curiosity about customer behavior. You ask insightful questions about what customers need, and you interpret data to develop meaningful answers.
  • Experience delivering successful products in B2B user management or multi-channel retail is valuable but not required.
  • Experience in building solutions that touch the Order-To-Cash aspects of the organization.
  • Ideal but not necessary, relevant experience with initiatives involving tech stack including SAP, modern cloud-based development methodologies and systems.
