  • About the job

As a REWS Technology Program Manager, you will partner with engineering resources and REWS business clients to develop, build, and maintain REWS' Sustainability systems and tools. You will manage the customer side of complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your product management expertise and outstanding communication skills. You will understand REWS clients strategically by helping them define their needs, build requirements documentation and user stories. You will usher projects tactically through the entire project lifecycle by managing project budgets and schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders, planning Googler-facing rollouts, and transitioning products to maintenance mode. You will help prioritize incoming and lingering technical needs into a comprehensive project pipeline.

In this role, you will explain analyses and recommendations to customers and executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. You will be an independent worker with the ability to track many overlapping projects down to small details while still keeping the big picture in focus.

Additionally, you will play a key role in enabling technical solutions for REWS Sustainability in support of Google's mission of operating 24/7 carbon free by 2030. REWS Sustainability currently uses a variety of solutions to capture, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics. You will help assess the sustainability systems landscape, and manage the implementation of technical solutions that will consolidate and/or improve data capture methods, facilitate efficient progress monitoring and reporting, and promote better data quality. You will also support the implementation of boundary systems (e.g., utility bill aggregation, metering projects) that provide data to/from sustainability tools.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google's culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.
