About the job

Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. As a Technical Writer, you will provide an excellent developer experience for all developer products within the Ads Product Area by enabling efficient usage and integration, engaging and nurturing developer communities, and revolutionizing the Ads ecosystem making advertising and measurement as easy and accessible to all through technology and guidance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Write documentation and manage documentation release for Google Ads developer products.
  • Be in charge of writing consistent and high quality technical documentation for an external audience of engineers.
  • Explain complex technologies in useful ways for the target audience.
  • Use your editing craft to review blog posts, guides, and various technical content developed by others.
  • Coach and encourage non-writers in developing their own writing skills.
